International IP expert spending year at KU Law

Dr. Amir H. Khoury joins KU Law's faculty as a Distinguished Visiting Professor for the 2013-14 school year.
 
A specialist in intellectual property law and regulation, Khoury has written two books, 14 U.S. law journal articles and a chapter in an Oxford University Press book. He has presented at conferences around the world and trains judges, lawyers and patent examiners in IP matters. He is a senior lecturer at Tel Aviv University and holds a Ph.D. from Haifa University, an LL.M. from Fordham University and an LL.B. from Hebrew University. He is currently working on a collection of English poetry.
 
"Lawrence represents the best in this great country: a mixture of achievements, kindness and values," Khoury said. "Academically, I have been enjoying my time here. The teaching experience that I have received from it is truly rewarding."
 
Khoury's KU course offerings include International Regulation of Intellectual Property and Theory and Practice in Fair Dealing in Commerce and Commerce Wrongs.
